Malaysia-News - eine Facebook-Gruppe: ein Erfahrungsbericht in Social Media Nutzung
In: Österreichische Zeitschrift für Südostasienwissenschaften: Austrian Journal of South-East Asian Studies : ASEAS, Band 14, Heft 1, S. 139-144
ISSN: 1999-253X
This paper deals with a Facebook-group named Malaysia-News. This group was founded in August 2019 and saw a rapid increase in members, especially in Southeast Asia. The analysis of the development of this group is based on data from Facebook and concerns the expansion of membership and the motivation to join. It shows that membership increased significantly after incisive events took place in Malaysia in early 2020 and that users are primarily looking for trustworthy information. (ASEAS/GIGA)

Internationalisierung der sozialwissenschaftlichen Forschung
In: WISO: Wirtschafts- und sozialpolitische Zeitschrift, Band 16, Heft 1-2, S. 43-65
ISSN: 1012-3059
(Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)

Analysis of the research information system "Fodok Austria" at the Technical U of Vienna, Austria, indicates that less than 20% of Austria's foreign research contacts are with Third World countries; also, the poorer the country, the less frequent the contact. The majority of contacts are technical & scientific, & are concentrated among a relatively small number of countries. 4 Tables, 2 Appendixes. A. Cole
